October 2, 2012: Nuclear Weapons Security Crisis- What Does History Teach?

This mini-conference will be a presentation of the four case studies on how nuclear arsenals were or were not protected during times of political upheaval. The case studies cover France, Russia/USSR, China, and Pakistan.

The Next Arms Race assesses the strategic military competitions the U.S. is likely to face over the next two decades. Hors d'oeuvres will be served and free copies of the book will be made available.

September 19, 2012: Serious Rules for Nuclear Power without Proliferation

Arguing that U.S. policies favoring nuclear promotion are not matched by corresponding policies on nonproliferation, Henry Sokolski,  Executive Director of the Nonproliferation Policy Education Center, and Victor Gilinsky, former member of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, will propose several nonproliferation principles for correcting the mismatch.
