For some, hearing is believing. Today, Australia Broadcasting Corporation posted its latest Counterpoint broadcast, which led with an interview of me. The broadcast was based on my piece in The American Interest, “Hiroshima at 75: A Peek into Our Nuclear Future.”
In the interview, I make the case that certain advances in military science have pushed first and early use of nuclear weapons further into the background and more can be done to further these advances. I also explain how civil uses of nuclear energy and the spread of nuclear weapons are related, still worrisome, and not yet favored economically.
