This is an entry- to mid-level position.
The Nonproliferation Policy Education Center (NPEC), a nonprofit public policy research and educational organization located in Arlington, Virginia, is looking to fill the position of Media Production and Outreach Coordinator. Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include health and dental insurance, and matching retirement.
Responsibilities:
- Support and enhance the office’s use of information technology and social media
- Record, edit, and post NPEC’s public forums and private events on NPEC’s website, its graduate course website, YouTube and other social media
- Support NPEC’s Executive Director in the production of Power Point lecture presentations
- Format and proofread NPEC publications
- Manage and update NPEC’s various websites
- Support course on nuclear policy and space policy as well as monitor student attendance
- Provide general support for NPEC war games and events
- Work with NPEC’s Executive Director and Executive Assistant on NPEC’s annual Public Policy Fellowship retreat
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Familiarity with English and modern history.
- Minimum employment commitment of two years.
- Reside in Northern Virginia and/or the DC region.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Organized, entrepreneurial, and detail-oriented.
- Working familiarity with Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Mac, Google Business Suite, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Adobe InDesign or similar desktop publishing software, and Adobe Premiere Pro or similar video software. Working knowledge of website content management, preferably WordPress.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated, a good work ethic, a proven ability to anticipate what is needed, and with minimal supervision. Must also be comfortable working remotely as part of a team.
Salary:
$45,000-$65,000/year commensurate with experience.
